Our Commitment to Independent Journalism
Cambridge Post is committed to producing journalism that is accurate, fair, impartial, and in the public interest. This Editorial Policy sets out the principles and standards that guide every piece of content we publish.
Independence
Cambridge Post operates independently of any political party, government body, commercial advertiser, or academic institution. Editorial decisions are made solely by our editorial team and are never influenced by advertisers, sponsors, or external stakeholders.
When sponsored or commercially supported content appears on our site, it is clearly labelled as such. Paid content is never presented as independent editorial.
Accuracy & Verification
We are committed to publishing information that is accurate and fairly presented. Before publication, all factual claims are verified through reliable sources. We cite our sources where possible and link to original research, official reports, and primary data.
Where errors occur, we correct them promptly and transparently. Corrections are noted within the original article.
Fairness & Impartiality
We strive to present multiple perspectives on contested issues. We do not take partisan positions on political matters. Where opinion pieces are published, they are clearly distinguished from news reporting and analysis.
Sources & Attribution
We protect the identity of confidential sources where necessary. We do not publish unverified anonymous claims. All external content — including quotes, data, and images — is properly attributed.
Conflicts of Interest
Contributors and staff are required to disclose any potential conflicts of interest before publication. We do not allow contributors to write about organisations or individuals with whom they have a direct financial relationship without full disclosure.
Sponsored & Partner Content
Cambridge Post occasionally publishes sponsored articles, press releases, and partner content. All such material is clearly labelled with one of the following designations:
- Sponsored Content
- Partner Content
- Press Release
This content does not reflect the editorial views of Cambridge Post.
Complaints & Feedback
We take reader feedback seriously. If you believe we have made an error, acted unfairly, or breached this policy, please contact us at editorial@cambridgepost.co.uk
We aim to respond to all editorial complaints within five working days.
